Welcome!
Our small group "Building Faith" is a ministry that aims to build people up in their faith and relationship with God, as well as helping people with the things that may challenge their faith.
Whether you are a long time believer in God or a new believer, there are foundational principals at the core of faith that unite us to God in a profound way. Understanding these foundations of our faith hold our relationship with God together and equip us to do even greater things for Him. In our walk with God we need to revisit these principals frequently to keep our relationship with God fresh and vibrant.
In chapter 2 of the book of Revelation, the risen Lord Jesus counseled the Ephesian church by reminding them that they had neglected their core understanding of what unites us to God. Jesus commended them for their good works of service to Him, but also warned them about the sin of Orthodox religion without love, and that true faith begins with a deeply personal relationship between us and God.
Like the Ephesian Church, we sometimes get so caught up in our day to day activities that we neglect our relationship with Him. In this class we will rediscover our relationship with God and go straight to the core of what "saving faith" is and the foundational principals of faith that empower us. The word "faith" in the english language is one of those words we get a lot of mileage out of. There are so many ways to use the word "faith" that we can lose our understanding of what "saving faith" is. In James 2: 19 it is written "You believe that there is one God, you do well. Even the demons believe and tremble!" Clearly there are different ways of displaying faith. In our study "Faith Defined" we will study the subject of "Saving Faith" and show what real saving faith looks like acording to the Bible.
Here are some of the topics covered in this group:
What is true saving faith?
How worship and prayer enhance our relationship with God

Loving those who are hard to love
